Ingredients:
- Whole wheat pizza dough
- Half of a granny smith apple, sliced into thin pieces (cut off a round slice, then cut into smaller slices)
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Vegan cheese (I was lucky enough to have some Daiya!)
- Chopped hazelnuts
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Stretch out the pizza dough (make sure it's enough for one serving) and place it onto a parchment paper-lined sheet pan. Dock the dough (meaning stab it with a fork all over, leaving a 1/2 inch edge all around). Layer on the apple slices. Sprinkle on the cinnamon, however much you can stand. Then sprinkle on a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (put some on the crust - it'll taste divine!). Add the chopped hazelnuts and sprinkle them evenly all over the pizza. Now load on the cheese!
Cook for 15 minutes or until browned. Sprinkle on a teensy bit of salt. Let it cool for about 10 minutes, then cut and eat.
It's sweet like a dessert, but still delicious and filling...basically the perfect ending to a rough day!
Bon appetit!
xx
