Recycle Restyle Rethink Refashion

By now you've heard the amazing news: H&M is introducing their Garden Collection, fabulous pieces of eco-friendliness, such as a dress made of recycled water bottles! March 27th is when these lovies arrive, and I plan on scooping some pieces up! It's so exciting to be able to purchase affordable green clothes, as so many companies sell eco-friendly things like t-shirts for 60 bucks a pop. I'm sorry, but if I can get a plain basic tee for $5, you can bet I'm buying it, even though it's not the friendliest option for the environment. Realistically, it was already made/processed/manufactured, so why let it end up in a landfill? Or wherever unsold clothes go when no one wants them...how I hope they're recycled or donated! (*Although I'm not a fan of this large chain, Walmart has organic cotton tees from Faded Glory - if your local wally-world doesn't have them you can order online, and have it shipped for 97 cents!)

Here's a quick article from NYLON magazine, which I have an online subscription to (better than wasting paper!):

xx
